Controlling what we think will make a big difference in our spiritual life. Proverbs 23 says, "As a man thinks so is he." Martin Luther said, "You cannot keep birds from flying over your head, but you can keep them from building a nest in your hair."
God already knows what we think about, even if no one else does. And he desires that we capture our thoughts, monitor them, filter them, and make sure that our thinking is in line with the way He thinks.
